Steward Health Care has signed a contract with Robins & Morton for the construction of the replacement facility for Wadley Regional Medical Center.

During auditions held recently at New Boston High School in New Boston, TX, eight Redwater High School band students earned placement in the Texas Music Educators Association All-Region Band.

The Texarkana College Board of Trustees held their final meeting of 2022 on Monday. Tiffani Neal was appointed to serve as the trustee representing Place 1 for the remainder of the term ending in 2028 and was also sworn in during the board meeting. Additional business included board approval for TC to seek SACSCOC approval to establish the Texarkana Regional Airport as an off-campus training site for a new Aviation Mechanics Technology Program.

Registration for spring classes at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana is open now through January 10, 2023. The College will hold extended hours registration on January 5 and 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Classes begin on Monday, January 9, 2023.

A microgravity experiment developed by a group of Texarkana ISD seventh graders is heading to the International Space Station in late Spring/Summer 2023, following a rigorous selection process through the Student Spaceflight Experiments Program (SSEP).
