Increasing the quality of life for the elderly and disabled is Ashley Henderson’s goal in life.  As the owner of  Ashley’s Care & House Call, she helps families find competent, honest, and reliable caretakers who provide compassionate care and comfort to those in need, without worries.  “People who are elderly or disabled deserve someone with a big heart, a great sense of humor, and an honest approach to helping them with their needs,” she says.  “I want them to feel as independent as possible and help take the burdens from their family members.”

Early on, Ashley raised her children to care for all people.  She taught them to have a big heart, follow Jesus, and always do what is right, even when no one is watching.  She admits that her greatest personal achievement is teaching them to spread love, be compassionate, and treat people with dignity and respect.

A certified CNA, Ashley has received many certifications, including specialty subjects like gerontology, plebotomy, dysphagia, and end of life care.  “When people see my face, I want them to know that I am here to help, and everything is going to be okay!” she admits.  Married to Clayton Craig, the couple has a total of six children and four grandchildren.

A nonprofit organization that is near and dear to Ashley is the David Randall Foundation Texarkana (www.davidrandallfoundationtexarkana.org).  In memory of her uncle, this foundation provides monetary support and medical supplies or equipment free of charge to help people in need who can’t afford services.

Happy, accomplished, and owner of a much-needed business, Ashley Henderson looks forward to the future.  In 10 years, she sees herself continuing to enjoy her grandchildren and taking even more trips with her family than she does now and hopefully, for longer periods of time.

Best piece of advice:

“People will always try to take you down because they are jealous, but they can never take your heart or the good deeds you have done. Never give up on your dream. This is your calling!” -Bobby Benbow, Ashley’s best friend

Name something about you that very few people know:

“My hot pink stethoscope always hangs on my rearview mirror because it is the only way I can find my car at Walmart!”
