Monica Kelley loves serving people.  As both a Realtor and boutique and gift shop owner, she gets to help people find just the perfect “fit” for them.  “As a real estate agent, I serve, and as a boutique/gift shop owner, I serve,” she acknowledges.

Monica graduated from LeTourneau University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services.  She received a master’s degree in Management from Texas A&M - Commerce.  Before becoming a full-time entrepreneur, she worked for the State of Texas.  Now, she is able to focus full-time on her boutique/gift shop and starting her real estate business.

For fun, Monica enjoys going to ball games, shopping, eating, gardening, and traveling with her husband, Donnie, and children, Tyler and Trentyn.   Becoming a mother after being told at the age of 16 that she would never be able to have children is high on Monica’s list of personal accomplishments.  “My accomplishments aren’t measured in dollars; they are measured in hugs and kisses, and every time we say, ‘I love you,’” she admits.

Recently accepted into the Leadership Texarkana class, Monica serves as the Community Vice President for the Junior League of Texarkana. She is also a board member for the Pleasant Grove Education Foundation and First Choice Pregnancy Resource Center.

Monica does not plan on slowing down in the future. “In the next 10 years, I plan to birth two more businesses in the Texarkana community. I also plan to expand my boutique to more than one location and hope to have multiple real estate offices in many cities and states,” she concludes.  “This will also be an exciting time watching my boys grow into adult men and, of course, I will be following their lives and maybe even their families.”

Best piece of advice:

“A fast horse doesn’t run long. All you have to do is stand still.” – John Miller Riley, Monica’s father
