Sixth graders at Ashdown Jr. High School took part in the annual Learning for Life Career Day on May 3. Speakers represented a variety of professional and skilled trades careers and willingly shared their expertise with the students. Guests brought tools of the trade which provided hands-on activities for the students while presenting a realistic image of the workplace. The Learning for Life character and career program at AJHS is made possible by funding from Texarkana Area Community Foundation, United Way of Greater Texarkana, and Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund.
