Atlanta Education Foundation’s Blue Jeans & Bling
/The Atlanta Education Foundation held its annual fundraiser, Blue Jeans & Bling, on February 1 at Music City Texas located in Linden, Texas. Presenting sponsor of the event was State Bank. Approximately 230 people attended the event, including community members, local business sponsors, AISD administrative staff, and the AEF board of directors. Outlaw BBQ catered the event, and a silent and live auction was held by auctioneer Shelby Crump. Musical entertainment was provided by Ambush (including three AISD band directors) and a pre-party was catered by Jodi Garrison and board members, Kelly Joslin and Holly Primrose. Longtime Atlanta resident, Dale Haggard, won a Honda Pioneer side-by-side.
A nonprofit organization, the Atlanta Education Foundation was formed in 2010. A diverse group of women & men of all ages and backgrounds, each volunteer brings their own set of talents, perspective, knowledge and skills to the table. The goal of the group is to enrich teaching, inspire learning, and enhance opportunities to meet the mission of excellence in education for all Atlanta ISD students.
