The 21st annual Bramlett Beans & Cornbread Community Fundraiser was held December 5 at the Southwest Community Center. Former Mayor James Bramlett invited the community to this event which featured beans, cornbread, tea, coffee and dessert. As part of the Empty Bowl Project, the ceramics classes at Texas High School created bowls which were displayed in silent auction style and then bidded on. Proceeds from the bowls were combined with the proceeds from Bramlett’s Beans & Cornbread to help give those in need a better Christmas dinner.
