Main Street Texarkana's Dine on the Line

Main Street Texarkana hosted its fourth annual Dine on the Line event on October 6 on State Line Avenue. Family fun, music, food, and beverages were enjoyed by all while celebrating the theme, “There is No Place Like Home,” which emphasized the strong community bond that makes Texarkana such a great place to live, work, and play. A three-course dinner was provided by Verona on Broad with live music featured throughout the evening by local favorites, including Caroline Joyce, Jase Bryant, Mark Meadows, the Texarkana Jazz Orchestra, and Randy Altenbaumer.

New this year was an Oktoberfest celebration with home-brewed beer made by members of the Four States Fermenters. The Pro Brewers Tent featured Bill Scurlock from Pecan Point and other breweries such as Texarkana’s own, Red Bone Magic.

The Arklahomatex Convertible Club showcased their cars this year, allowing attendees to walk down the line and view the beautiful automobiles. The event also featured activities for the kids, a variety of vendors selling everything from produce to artwork, the traditional T-Town Boogie Line Dance, and a chance to win gifts provided by local favorites such as Mayo Manufacturing.

All proceeds from the event go toward Main Street Texarkana’s mission to renovate, restore, and revitalize Texarkana’s downtown area.
