Harvest Regional Food Bank’s Hunger Action Luncheon was held on August 28 at Williams Memorial United Methodist Church. Connie Gregory from First Baptist Church of Redwater spoke on hunger issues in our community. Mayors Allen Brown and Bob Bruggeman addressed attendees. Donors, volunteers and area pantries were recognized for their work with food insecure families. The 2019 Hunger Hero of the Year was Ledwell Machinery, and Hunger Relief Pantry of the Year was Salvation Army. Julie Furlow was recognized as Volunteer of the Year.
