Every year in October, Rotarians from the Oaklawn Rotary Club of Texarkana hold a Drawdown fundraiser to raise money for area non-profits. Funds raised from the most recent event were distributed in $600 increments to 11 area non-profits during a lunch meeting on January 8 at the TISD Food Services Building. Organizations selected to receive grants this year included: Bikers Against Child Abuse, CASA, Domestic Violence Prevention, For the Sake of One, Habitat for Humanity, Harvest Texarkana, Hospice of Texarkana, Main Street Texarkana, Opportunities, Inc., Randy Sams Outreach Shelter,

and Watersprings Ranch.
