Wadley Regional Medical Center held its inaugural Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Birth Celebration on April 7, in front of the hospital between the main entrance and the Day Surgery entrance. The event celebrated all babies who have been cared for in the Wadley NICU over the years. Families from around the Texarkana area were able to reunite with nurses who not only cared for their babies, but helped the parents through an emotional and trying time.

Activities included kids’ games, balloon animals by Daryl Miller, hand prints, and face painting. Birthday cake, popcorn, and lemonade were served for all to enjoy. Each child received a gift, and prizes were given away.
