The Clay Eichler Memorial Fund hosted an Open House on April 5 at C.K. Bender Elementary School, which will soon house the new Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Texarkana. The Club will transition out of its previous location on Milam Street and move into a wing at the C.K. Bender Elementary School in Liberty-Eylau with operations to begin at the new location in August 2018.
The Clay Eichler Memorial Fund will provide needed funding for the club’s first year of operation, and LEISD and TISD have agreed to work together to bus club members. The Salvation Army is working to provide transportation for the children from TASD.
