Donnie Spriggs

As the General Manager of Silver Star Smokehouse in Texarkana, Donnie Spriggs handles the social media marketing for several other locations including Silver Star Smokehouse Bossier City, Silver Star Express, Silver Star Cantina Silver Star Grille, Silver Star Event Center, and The Stage Bossier. “The best part about my job is the people I get to interact with on a daily basis, from those who eat with me regularly to those who are stopping in on their way to their next destination,” Donnie says. “Seeing smiling and happy faces walk in and walk out of our doors makes each day feel like we are doing the best we can.”
Donnie’s greatest personal accomplishment is being able to help those in need in the Texarkana community. Involved with multiple nonprofit groups, he serves on numerous boards and fundraising committees. The two organizations that are near and dear to his heart are Friends for a Cause and the Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter. He explains, “Being able to give time and effort into these two groups is not always easy but you have to make time to help others because you never know when the tables could turn, and you could be the one looking for help.”
In the future, Donnie plans to work for either the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Texas Children’s Hospital in the marketing department or a similar position. He knows that working for either of those hospitals will give him the greatest satisfaction knowing that he will be fighting for those who sometimes cannot fight for themselves.
