Main Street Texarkana Announces the 2018 Christmas Parade and downtown Texarkana Window Contest

Texarkana, TX-AR, October 25, 2018– Main Street Texarkana invites you to participate in the 34th Annual Christmas parade on Monday December 3rd, 2018. The theme for this year’s parade is “My Favorite Christmas Memory…” The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m. To be involved in the parade visit MainStreetTexarkana.org for the application and rules. There is an application fee of $20.00. Deadline for parade applications is Friday, November 23 2018.

Also this year, downtown businesses are working with Main Street and the Downtown Neighborhood Association on a holiday window decorating contest. Winners of the window contest will be announced during the parade. If interested in decorating a window the deadline to apply is October 29th. Window designers can begin setup November 1st and must finish by November 15th. Prizes are Best in snow- $750, Window Wonderland - $250, Holiday Fame – Gift Basket, and Deck the Door – Downtown Gifts.
