The Texarkana, Texas, Parks and Recreation Department, along with Texarkana Challenged Outdoorsmen, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and city employees and volunteers hosted the 28th annual Fishing Derby on February 20-21 at Spring Lake Park. Held especially for youngsters with physical or mental disabilities, the event was enjoyed by approximately 200 students from local school districts.
