Leadership Texarkana Class of 2018-2019

Thirty-three Texarkana area residents recently completed the year-long Leadership Texarkana community leadership program and were honored by the Leadership Texarkana (LT) organization at the End of Year Celebration on April 23 at Northridge Country Club. The program also recognized and honored the many hundreds of individuals who contributed to the curriculum, training and success of the organization’s flagship program this past year, by serving as presenters, sponsors, facilitators, hosts, and administrators. The Sponsoring Partner for the event was CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System.

Throughout the past year, members of the LT Class of 2019 were challenged through Strategic Doing-guided groups to lead the way as change agents, develop momentum around LT’s goTXK efforts, building on citizen engagement and partnerships with businesses and organizations to celebrate and make the community superlatives our broader community narrative and inspiration for ever more citizens to be actively invested in community matters. Class members were also charged with providing content for the organization’s weekly blasts of “What’s To Love Txk!,” knowing that this knowledge drives community pride and community narrative, which are foundational to the pursuit of community excellence. Applications for the coming year’s program for 2019-20 can be found and completed online at www.LeadershipTexarkana.com; the deadline for application is June 23. It is a competitive application process, with the numbers of participants accepted annually limited to 30 individuals.
