Operation Jerusalem, a First Baptist Church Texarkana project, held a luncheon on August 8 at the church to make check presentations to 19 local elementary school principals. Unrestricted checks for $3,000 were distributed to these principals for use at their schools to help meet needs of their students and/or classrooms. Operation Jerusalem’s mission is to reach out into the local community with significant gifts to help local nonprofits and groups in practical ways.
