The Retreat at Kenwood held its annual pep rally on October 10. Each year, Pleasant Grove High School brings their football players, cheerleaders, Showstoppers and drum line to perform for the residents. After the pep rally, residents, guests and businesses had the pleasure of tailgating the vendor booths and meeting several mascots. In attendance were Texarkana Therapy Center with S.P.O.T. the Dog, Kelli Ashbrook State Farm, Texas Roadhouse, Dierksen Hospice with Lil Man the Pony, Texarkana College with Bo the Bulldog, Texas A&M University with ACE the Eagle, The Texarkana Twins with Thunder the Bat, University of Arkansas with their Iron Horse, Dillard’s department store and the Texas High cheerleaders.
