#ShineBrightArkLaTex

CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System is shining some light during this uncertain time. The Vice President of Medical Affairs, Dr. Loren Robinson, told the administration team about a nationwide trend on social media encouraging people to light a candle or a luminary on April 1 at 7 p.m. The team loved the idea and posted an event on their Facebook page to encourage the Ark-La-Tex to light candles, luminaries, or turn on their front porch lights. This was a great way for everyone to take a moment and pray for first responders and health care workers who are on the frontlines, battling this virus. CSM participated by lighting the star on their building as well. The star will remain lit to be a reminder to continue praying for our unsung heroes.

Stacye Magness at CHRISTUS St. Michael said, “The response was phenomenal. We had well over 150 posts using the #ShineBrightArkLaTex.” They shared the posts in a weekly video from the CSM President, Jason Rounds. They printed copies of the posts and shared them with the hospital and hung them on the wall of the associate entrance. “The feedback from our associates was overwhelmingly positive. They were so appreciative of the prayer and support of the entire community,” mentioned Stacye.
